    Question about free game upgrade from 360 to one


    i saw that there is a promotion for destiny where if you buy it from xbox 369 marketplace you can get it for free when you get an xbox one. It says it goes until january. So does this mean that if I buy it now and get an xbox one in February i won't be able
    to get the free game?

    Can you Download XBOX 360 version of game for free ii you buy Xbox One version?

    No. For some games the publishers will offer a free or discounted upgrade from the 360 version to the One version, but not all games offer that. It also does not work going from the One to the 360.

    If you are speaking about the digital upgrade of the game

    Then I believe you would have to purchase it on the Xbox 360 first before getting the free upgrade to the Xbox One. In this case you would be better off waiting for the game's full release to digital before placing your order and paying for it.

    Right, if you purchase the game after the expiration for the offer, you will have to pay for the game. I would suggest trying to purchase it from the website to see if it gives you the option for it being free. Then it will be ready to download when you
    get your One.

    Exactly as above. You have until January 15, 2015 to redeem the free copy of Destiny. Perhaps what you could do is find a friend who has an Xbox One (if you are not planning on getting one till February) and redeem the free upgrade on their console then
    redownload it to yours when you get it.

    Try this. Once the game is downloaded onto your 360. Get on it for about an hour or two, you know, just so the servers would know that you own the 360 version (with the xbox one upgrade). Then check on the same game on your xbox one and the price should
    switch from $60 (not sure if it's SRP) to free. Hope that works for you
