question about crucible....

i'm only a level 7.... if I go in there, am I going to get my head handed back to me? I've been told that its not good idea to go in until I get some better weapons.

does the crucible match you with other people that are close in level/weapons inventory?

Great question. The Crucible commendations are rewarded for ranking up any of the following factions past rank level 3: Crucible, Dead Orbit, New Monarchy, and Future War Cult. Basically any rank up past rank level 3 for these factions will be rewarded with
a package that will be delivered to the Postmaster. Packages from these vendors always include a Crucible commendation AND a random legendary level item (engrams, vendor-specific gear, or Ascendant materials). And yes, both the Crucible commendations and the
gear that you purchase from these faction vendors can be shared between your characters on the same account. So basically because you can get commendations in multiple ways, it isn't unrealistic that players would have these Crucible commendations prior to
reaching rank 2 in a particular faction.

i just looked at my dead orbit vendor and saw that soon i would be able to buy the legendary armor from him, but then i noticed the helm and chest armor req a crucible commendation, i had no clue what that was so i searched it up, apparently you get it gifted
to you after u rank up to rank 3+ on the vendors, but the helm and chest armor only req rank 2 to buy, ik u can share them between characters but if your like me and only rank one thing up knowingly at a time whats the point in the helm and chest being purchasable
at rank 2 if you dont get the friggen item till your rank 3 or higher? sounds rather counter productive to me

 

That is nonsense and who ever told you that isn't very smart. When you go to play Control or Clash it says right in the description that Level Advantages are DISABLED! Everyone is on the same playing field, health , damage, every thing.

The Crucible is a great way to level up and get good gear.

 

I kept getting owned until I got better weapons. Plus their special attacks are leveled up as well. There is no such thing as a level playing field in Destiny.add

 

I think they need a better matchmaking system so you can play against players of a similar ability

 

I seen a IGN video where the bloke reckons the Crucible matchmaking works on how you go in The Crucible. EG: you got to play a few games before it begins to figure out how to match you and the more you play the better the matchmaking. Doesn't just work on
the lvl you take in.

BUT... I haven't played PvP yet so I wouldn't know.

 

IGN also said (don't know if it's true) in their rolling review panel that gun and abilities don't get evened out. Would love to see a Myth Busters video. So we can see once and for all if this is true.
