Question about account recovery

Trying to get an account I’ve used since elementary school back. My dad created it for me and it’s under an Xboxlivefamily.com email. I know about the recovery form but I don’t know if the questions such as dob and name should be my dads info or mine since he’s the one who made the account when I was a kid and the email linked to it is an old email my dad stopped using. Also when putting in the device Id does the profile have to be signed into the Xbox or does it just have to have been on the Xbox before in the past. My brother reset the Xbox so the account isn’t signed into it anymore

So when it asks for the device Id the profile has to be already signed into the Xbox or would i be able to put in the device id of an Xbox it used to be on

I understand. If you don't have access to just the email, you can already do the procedure.

What I’m asking is what is the point of providing the device Id. I don’t think there’s an Xbox with the account logged into it. So idk if providing the device Id would help the automated thing that checks know that the Xbox I put the id in for doesn’t have the account on it right now but it used to be on that Xbox
