    Pure greed!


    I recently started using my xbox again, I'm 49 years old & pick it up now & again. I wanted to change my gamertag. I still had a free one time change, I made a mistake because I feel the selection when changing is confusing I contacted support to request a partial change of the tag I had made but they refused. Why does this company think its ok to charge £8gbp to change a name. I hate Microsoft its pure greed with everything they do. There's no compassion with this company

    All companies charge for name change only steam doesn't charge

    Its to.reduce and make.you think seriously about your name

    Also when you make a funny name and get an enforcement your next change will be more thoughtful

    Though people have been known to not learn their lesson

    3-4 forced name changes some cases which gets expensive not.greed

    Just hopefully people.learn.there lesson

    One take their.name.seriously not a flavor of.the week name as names are limited

    2 less.server refreshes to.free names if people dont change their names every week for free

    It's an excuse to charge a fee nothing more it makes no difference to them whatsoever, the user accounts are already paid for if you're using online gaming by subscription.

    It's also irrelevant what other companies are doing I'm referring to Microsoft

    They don't want people to be able to change their identity at will. There is already enough people who behave badly on the service

    By attaching a fee you attach pause.

    As NGO mentioned this also is a big load on the server. If you have any experience with name changes they usually take a day or two to propagate as it is.

    As above. Tetris Blitz is just over the top with micro transactions. Pure greed. It's not even subtle about it.
