    to purchase services from Xbox live you should provide as method of payment your credit card or paypal. No other method is accepted.

    Prepaid credit/debit cards may not work with Xbox LIVE as most do not allow for online purchasing and/or recurring charges. Consider using a different payment method.

    Gold can only be purchased via credit card/PayPal, or by purchasing a prepaid gold card from a retailer. It is not possible to use the currency on your account to purchase gold.

    Unfortunately it is not possible to use and Xbox gift card balance to purchase an Xbox Live Gold Subscription you will need to either purchase an Xbox Live Gold membership card/voucher or register another payment method to your account such as a debit/credit
    card or papal to purchase Xbox Live Gold.

    It depends on the card. Xbox does not usually take refillable cards as a payment method for Xbox Live. Your best bet may be to purchase a Live membership from your local retailer.
