    Purchasing Game with gold


    Recently I acquired a game with gold and after expiration of my gold I decided to buy digital version of that game and have it forever instead of recharging and buying gold to keep playing

    But when I go to game page to buy that, it says "You own this product" and there is no way to buy that

    Please help me out how to buy the game

    Once it is on your xbox purchase history you cannot repurchase it

    On the Xbox One, a Game with Gold that is redeemed/downloaded isn't actually owned like it is on Xbox 360. I decided to purchase both Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition and Thief when they were on sale (after downloading them with Game with Gold) so I can own
    a copy of the games should I ever choose not to renew my Gold subscription. However, despite purchasing both, the Xbox Store always shows "Get a Copy for $34.99 (or whatever the respective price is week to week)", when I click it, it says that it will charge
    me again if I purchase the game despite buying it already. Is there anyway to see if I actually own the games and have access to them without Gold besides actually cancelling by Gold subscription and testing them out? Thanks.

    Sorry to hear it. The issue you're experiencing is due to the fact that it was previously owned. What you should do is call phone support and request that the license be removed from your account so that you can purchase the item outright. Please click

    Gold can only be purchased with a credit card/Paypal or by purchasing a prepaid gold card in a store. The money in your account cannot be used to purchase a gold subscription. It can only be used to purchase games or other content.

    Only the account that purchases the gold gets access to the Games with Gold games and other gold discounts. You can access the games after he purchases them, but you would need your own gold subscription in order to take part in the deals yourself.

    You would have to purchase gold on your account in order to purchase them directly from your account. Only the account that purchased the subscription can access perks like Games with Gold or Gold discounts.
