    Hey everyone!

    We are definitely excited about the recent release of Destiny: The Taken King and we wanted to make sure that you have all the proper information regarding purchasing The Taken King. We have listed a few different scenarios you may encounter while trying to
    purchase Destiny: The Taken King and have included the best process make sure that your purchase runs smoothly.

    Scenario 1- I currently do not own Destiny and I want to purchase Destiny: The Taken king:



    • From the Xbox 360 console, navigate to Games and search for Destiny.
    • Select Destiny: The Taken King Legendary Edition or Collector's Edition and then select Purchase.
    • Once you have selected Purchase, select Confirm Purchase.
    • Most content will automatically install after you confirm the purchase.
    • After you have purchased Destiny: The Taken King Legendary Edition or Collector's Edition navigate to Games from the Dashboard.
    • Select Games and then select My Games.
    • Launch Destiny and a few updates will install.
    • Once the updates have successfully completed, you should be ready to go!
    Scenario 2- Destiny The Taken King was purchased on a different profile on my Xbox 360 and I want to play the game:

    • If a friend or family member has purchased Destiny: The Taken King on your console, but it was purchased on a different profile, you may run into an error code while trying to launch the Destiny: The Taken King Legendary Edition or Collector's Edition bundle
      app.
    • If you do run into an error code while launching the bundle app, navigate to My Games on your Xbox 360 console.
    • From My Games select Destiny and launch the game. At this point, a couple of updates should install.
    • Once the updates have completed, you should now be able to play the game. Keep in mind, you may be unable to access certain DLC content from the bundle app until you have progressed to a certain storyline in the game.
    Scenario 3- I already own Destiny, Destiny Expansion 1: The Dark Below and Destiny Expansion 2: House of Wolves and I want to purchase Destiny: The Taken King:

    • If you're an existing Destiny owner that has already purchased Destiny Expansion 2: House of Wolves and Destiny Expansion 1: The Dark Below, you are eligible to purchase the standalone "Taken King" add on. You can purchase the standalone Taken King add-on
      in-game by launching Destiny on you Xbox 360 console.
    • Press the A button to Play and then select your character.
    • Select Set Destination and hover over The Taken King logo to the right of the Tower/Earth.
    • Press A for more information.
    • Click Purchase under the Destiny: The Taken King option and then confirm the purchase.

    How to get Destiny: Rise of Iron

    • Destiny: Rise of Iron Launch Edition: If you already own Expansion I & II, as well as the digital version of The Taken King, this
      is the version for you!

      Note: Your account must own The Taken King digitally in order to purchase Rise of Iron: Launch Edition. If you purchased CSV from a 3rd party retailer to buy Destiny: Rise of Iron, ensure you have purchased The Taken King digitally
      first!
    • Destiny - The Collection: If you're new to the series, or have yet to purchase the original Destiny Expansions & Destiny: The Taken King,
      this is going to be the best value for you!
    • Destiny: The Collection Upgrade: If you're switching from the Xbox 360 version of Destiny to the Xbox One version, this is the
      one you want to look into.

      Note: You must own The Taken King digitally on Xbox 360 in order to purchase this version.

    Just to clarify, what edition of The Taken King did you purchase and when did you purchase it? You can check your purchase history on your
    Microsoft Commerce page. If you purchased Destiny: The Taken King - Legendary Edition, according to the

    Xbox Store page    , the Collector's Edition Digital Upgrade is not included in that bundle. If you would like to acquire the Collector's Edition content, you can purchase the content from the

    Xbox Store     directly provided you already own the following:

    • Destiny
    • Expansion I: The Dark Below
    • Expansion II: House of Wolves
    • Destiny: The Taken King

    The problem I am having is, I had the 360 Destiny (disk) with House of Wolves, Dark Below, and pre-ordered Taken King. on the release date I downloaded Taken King no problem everything fine. Also got a message stating if I purchased an xbox one the entire
    game would upload to the one. Now I am told that I have to purchase again The Taken King for the one because the version is different from the 360. That is not was implied when I pre-ordered and purchased. I know I have to purchase Destiny itself because
