Purchasing "Dark Souls" through PC

I don't own a Xbox 360 yet (I have an Xbox One). Until "Dark Souls," I've "purchased" the free Games with Gold games on my PC, helping me build up a nice backload for when I do get a 360. But with "Dark Souls" I now get a message saying "Sorry: Is this your
first purchase? To ensure it is compatible, please sign in to Xbox LIVE using your console and try again." I'm signed into my account, so I'm not sure what's wrong. Has anybody else successfully downloaded "Dark Souls" by using a PC?

Dark Souls 2 has only been confirmed for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC so far.

 

ya because it sees your xbox one not your 360

 

360 games are not compatible with xbox one also you would be using the one marketplace which is different

 

I get the same message. I have a 360 but not a One and it'll let me buy Halo and Max but not Dark Souls. Same thing happened to me last summer trying to buy The Witcher 2 on sale.

 

I also have this problem with not being able to buy DS. I even tweeted the Major with no success at all and only a few hours left (21hrs +- myside ) until the 15th

I don't own either console right now but the option to purchase them without a console should be there regardless imo.

 

I had the same error too. Seems my problem was related to not having a credit card associated with my account (I'd removed it a few weeks earlier to troubleshoot another issue). As soon as I added a credit card to my Xbox Live account, I could "buy" Dark
Souls.

 

even for free games if you try to get them on xbox.com this is a 0$ purchase and you are required a credit Card - this requirement does not exist on console

 

I have a credit card associated with my account and still get the problem.
