Purchasing an Xbox One

I'm looking to purchase an Xbox One online from the Microsoft website just wondering how the warranty works?

Also a friend suggested I use another website that he says is credible like futureshop or shop.ca or best buy if I purchase off there how do I go about knowing if I get the warranty from Microsoft or not?

While I wouldn't say most people have NO issues as Borss says, I will say almost all of those issues are more complaints with the software, not real issues. A lot of people are disappointed by 1 or more things with the system, but, even with these complaints,
most people are satisfied with the system overall.

Read up on the reviews and what people are saying, and decide for yourself if the hardware and software are to your liking. As for the hardware failures, there is absolutely NO indication (from everything I've seen) that there is a high failure rate compared
to any other new hardware launch. This is not the RRoD.

i cant buy anything some how my settings are blocked but i have changed them, microsoft usaully like taking peoples money hmmm......

If it's a legitimate, new console you will have the manufacturer's warranty regardless of what retailer you chose.

You will have to go to http://myservice.xbox.com to register your console and it will have a warranty already

This is probably the wrong place to ask. I would call XBOX offices directly, I think it is 1-800-XBOX, not sure though.

Hopefully they offer something like this. It is pretty normal for companies to offer discounts for fundraising purposes.

Contact support and speak to billing. You can request a call back or chat with them at http://support.xbox.com/contact-us If you're not seeing those options, change your category/topic until you do. Billing & Subscriptions and "I don't recognize a charge" usually works for me.

Thank you everyone for your feedback. I just purchased the system today. Look fwd to the online experience as well, that will be new to me.

No hardware probs on mine or the many I know that got one. The more time I spend with the UI the better it becomes, the little things that are missing can be added via software updates and I'm sure they will. Great machine.
