Purchasing a second Xbox One for our household / Subscriptions & Gameplay

I realize that this sort of question has been asked and answered all over the web, but I'm getting close to purchasing an Xbox One X and would appreciate it if someone could ease my concerns before I drop $600.

First: Some background.

I currently have an X360 downstairs that my 13 year old uses exclusively. I have an Xbox One (not S or X) upstairs that is mostly used by me but shared with my son. I have recently bought a nice big 4K TV and want to play my Xbox One games in 4K (or optimized,
whatever).

My concern is what to do with my Xbox One once I replace it with X. If I keep it and give it to my son, I need to know a few things as far as game-play and subscriptions.

1) Any games that I purchase digitally are available to download to both consoles. Right? They are account bound are they not?

2) Will my Gold Xbox Live subscription cover both of us on both Xbox Ones?

3) Will it be possible to buy, for example, Forza 4, and then be able to play together online with each of us on a separate console? Or would I need to buy 2 copies of Forza for that to happen?

I understand that you can set the My Home Xbox setting to be each others console or something like that. I would just like some clarification on whether this is an acceptable solution. I have been an Xbox Live member for over 10 years and love the ease
and reliability of it but my son has recently shown interest in playing certain games together so I'd like to make that work.

New Xbox One X requires Xbox Live Gold to get into my Madden Cloud Franchise

I just recently finished my basement and purchased a second Xbox (Xbox One X)for our household. We still have our original Xbox One. When I try to load my Madden cloud franchise on the new Xbox it is requiring me to purchase Xbox Live Gold. If I go back
to my original Xbox it does not require Gold.

I did make the new console my home console. Is there anything I can do to remedy this with out getting a gold subscription? Or am I SOL?

Hi there,

on the Xbox 360 each household player need to have their own Xbox Live Account with their on Gold subscription to access Gold features.

On the Xbox 360 the Gold subscription can't be shared across accounts or the console.

To be sure also check
http://account.xbox.com/settings to verify if only gameplay is allowed and also the setting for User created content is set to be allowed.

Do the household players play on the same or different 360 consoles?

1) Right. You can download and play any game on any One as long as you are signed into Live.

2) You can only share the gold on the console you set as your Home. So if your son would be using the regular One, you would want to set that as your Home.

3) Same as 2. Your son would have to play on your Home console and you would have to play on the non-Home (if you bought it on your account that is).
