    hello I recently setup my Xbox to ask me for my password /code before purchases can be made on Xbox live. I went ahead and activated a free 1 month game pass on my account.

    My 5 year old son went and purchased fortnight and now I am $60 out of pocket and the Xbox never asked me for the password?

    How do I go about getting a refund for this? Considering I have the correct restrictions in place and this did not work upon my son trying to purchase a product.

    hi can i ask if you are old enough . if you check ur family restrictions and if its not that then try checking ur age on your email address this could help ur issues out

    Hey Deadlocked127! It's hard to say if it's a glitch yet, let's check out a few things first! Can you tell us a bit more about what your experiencing? What Avatar items you're having trouble downloading? That includes those redeeming issues you mention.
    Make sure to include any and all error codes or messages and any steps you've already tried! The more information the better we can help. Purchases and restrictions :)



    You may also want to visit commerce.microsoft.com to check the age listed on your account and ensure that birth date is correct! While you're there make sure to check for any messages or notifications. Purchases and restrictions :)

    The only way to currently restrict purchases is to block xbox live under the family setting as shown here:

    support.xbox.com/.../xbox-live-parental-control

    However if you do create a child account you can control the restrictions from your own account rather than directly taking control of the child account, which is also detailed on the link above.
