I purchased an XB1S off the Microsoft store when I received the incentive to purchase one; gain 2 free games, free shipping and 50,000 reward points. I have received the Xbox and was not charged shipping but I have not yet received the 50,000 points. I was
wondering how long they would take to appear in my account?

Charged for Xbox Live before year was up

may 2017 I purchased one year Xbox Live however February 2018 I've been charged for 3 months Xbox Live I had previously turned off my auto renewal but was still charged on my credit card. We always use redeem codes to buy in house
game purchases but since the renewal has gone through my card has been reactivated on the account and my children have purchased without my knowledge. Trying to contact Microsoft to sort it out has become a nightmare can anyone help

so it's strange that Sony has retail stores in Ontario and they do not charge tax
Nintendo has no stores and they charge tax on their eShop
Microsoft has stores and they charge tax

Just find it strange how one company is beating to a different drum

Microsoft charges a flat tax regardless of retail stores I use to pay 15% tax when in my province it was 13% it was just there standard fee to keep the government happy, sony on the other hand is acting like any psn purchases are gift card purchases hence no tax

Microsoft has been ripping off Canadians with regards to these points cards every since they were introduced. Any talk about "market share" or taxes or any other excuses if completely
FALSE. How do I know this? Look at Microsoft's competitors:

Sony - On the Playstation Network Store, Sony charges the EXACT SAME PRICE for every item, whether you purchase it from the Canadian store or the US store. A $15.00 item in the US is $15.00 in Canada, regardless of current dollar value,
taxes, etc. (They do charge any additional taxes, but no different than buying Microsoft points card at a store and paying taxes - in other words, it cancels each other out).

Nintendo - Sell points cards, 2000 points is $20.00 in Canada and the United States. The points value of items on the Wii Shop Channel is identical in the US and Canada.

Bottom Line - Microsoft IS ripping off Canadian consumers. I have complained, but the closest I got to a response was from Major Nelson who said he "forwarded my complaint to the Microsoft Marketplace department".

My suggestion to all Canadian consumers: wait for items to go on sale on Xbox Live - that way you get more value out of your points and maybe if enough consumers do this, Microsoft will wake up!

Microsoft Points cards work the exact same way as Xbox Live Gift Cards. A 1400 Points card bought for $20 will put $20 in your Microsoft Account for example.

Microsoft Points cards you purchase in retail stores will continue to be redeemable on your console and Xbox.com until further notice. Microsoft has no plans to discontinue acceptance of previously purchased Microsoft Points cards and codes. Xbox gift cards
will be available for purchase in retail stores and through online retailers starting in late 2013. Availability of Microsoft Points cards varies by region.
