Purchased version of Game showing different than what I actually bought

First of all, I don't know why an agent can't just help me as this is more a billing/purchase issue.

Has anyone experienced this before and can you offer the best path to resolution?

I purchased on launch a Deluxe version of a game from the Xbox store online. I downloaded and played the game fine for months. Then I had almost a year of inactivity on my XBox One. When I load it up again after a move, I find that the game is no longer showing installed and the Store shows a lesser version of the game than the one I bought. It's trying to get me to repurchase the same game I bought before.

Looking for who best to talk to about this and how to get to them without ending up here again.

Exists the possibility that you purchased the game with a different account.
Let's try to find the account used to purchase this game

For this please go to your Microsoft account order history
https://account.microsoft.com/billing/orders

Once there, make sure to change the "3 months" filter and use instead "All available" next to "Ordered within"
Then start looking each item purchased with your account and see if you're able to find the game with order status "completed"

If you have more than one email please check the order history with each one

It's because you didn't actually buy from the marketplace. You bought it from a store. When you go to the marketplace it will show up as a new purchase. The Xbox One bookmarks your purchase history. So if you've previously purchased something it will show
an install tab. Each game disc and digital version of the game come with a different set of rights that's tied to your account.

You may have bought a different version of the game. Anything you own will show as owned in the Xbox store. I would read the purchase history and search that specific version of Minecraft.

The value would be listed as $0.00 as the code was not purchased via the MS Store.....MS have no idea what price you paid and it lists it in $ as a default I believe.

You definitely bought the UK version yes? And you definitely bought the Xbox version and not Windows version?

Can you got to the Windows Store, find the WWZ Aftermath entry and post a screenshot of what it shows please? Usually when a purchased game doesn't show up it's because it's the wrong platform, wrong account or wrong region...for a game to just not show up is weird

To add to what the rest of the posters have said.

The only way that you would have gotten the same game is if you bought a different version of the game, as an example:

You buy the standard version of the game it will then allow you to purchase the deluxe version of the game. '

You say you bought the Minecraft starter edition are you sure you then did not go and just purchase the regular Minecraft.

This would be the only way that I could see that the purchase would be made on the same account.
