Purchased the XBox 1 Minecraft edition and cannot obtain game

My wife and son downloaded the Minecraft XBOX1 code to our purchased game. We cannot find the downloaded game and the when attempting to download again the message pops up "code has been downloaded".

Where could I look to find the down loaded game?

Should I request a new code from Micro Soft?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Cant unlock

I purchased the digital Minecraft in the windows store on Xbox one, and i also installed the Minecraft: xbox one edition that was in the ‘ready to install’, but when I play the Xbox one edition, it says unlock full game, but I already purchased Minecraft,
and when I click on unlock full game, nothing happens.

Free Minecraft Windows 10 edition

I always play Minecraft Windows 10 edition on my xbox 1. I was able to get a free copy since I had already purchased another type of minecraft. One day I went to play but it said I had to sign into the account that purchased the game. I don't understand
why it took away my free Minecraft Windows 10 Edition.

From the main dashboard, go over to the top right where it says "My Games & Apps"

You can check if the game is in the process of downloading there under "Queue" but if not, you can find it under "Ready to Install" and initiate the download from there.

The other game, which we obtained in the same way, is minecraft story mode.

That is working fine.

From reading your reply are you saying that minecraft Xbox 1 edition is no longer playable?

If so, this would solve the issue as that is what we are trying to do!

- As I stated in the original post, I purchased the Xbox One S 'Minecraft Edition.' I own the game through a digital code.

- "The PC version was provided as a code I believe so you can redeem that to any account."
- The code in my purchase history simply says "Minecraft for Windows." If it was a PC-only code, then why was I able to still access Minecraft Windows edition on my Xbox previously, but cannot do so now? The way I see it: I got a game with my Xbox to play on my Xbox, Microsoft buys up Mojang, gives me a code to play Minecraft on my PC, then takes away all forms of me playing Minecraft on my Xbox. Does this make sense?

We understand that you're attempting to play Minecraft Xbox One Edition, and want to know how to access it.

Considering that Minecraft switched from Minecraft Xbox One Edition to exclusively be just Minecraft, the only way to obtain this version is to buy the physical disc.

Considering you mentioned buying a version similar to the Pocket Edition, are you asking for a specific mobile version of Minecraft?

Ok, just found this thread from the Minecraft forums. Apparently because the game is an Arcade game it cannot be installed and must be played from the disc.
