Purchased the incorrect Minecraft version for PC. I need version for MAC.

About the Minecraft version you purchased, may I ask if you have purchased it directly from the Microsoft store or Minecraft website? Because Minecraft actually just released the new version which is Minecraft java and bedrock edition. This contains 2 different copies of the game which is Bedrock and the Java one.

Based on the Minecraft page itself https://www.minecraft.net/en-us/store/minecraft... *Minecraft: Java Edition runs on Windows, Mac, and Linux; Minecraft: Bedrock Edition runs on Windows. Deluxe Collection content only runs on Minecraft: Bedrock Edition on Windows.

In case the one you have is Java edition, it should work well on your Mac device. But if it is the bedrock, you can try submitting a refund request for the game instead via https://support.xbox.com/en-US/forms/request-a-... just make sure you get the order number from your account via https://account.microsoft.com/billing/orders page first.

But if the one you have is the new version then no need to re-purchase since it contains both license already.

Every version of Minecraft is a separate purchase, so they would need to buy the Mac version

Hi, the Xbox and PC versions of Minecraft are two different beasts, was the code you redeemed for the Xbox version ? If so you'll need to either buy an Xbox ( not really a good idea for one game ) or purchase the PC version of Minecraft.

The console version of the game is simply titled Minecraft and the PC version is titled Minecraft for Windows 10 as far as I am aware.

Unfortunately, they are 2 different versions of Minecraft so you would need to purchase the W10 version of Minecraft to play it on PC.

You will need to purchase the PC version of Minecraft.
