    Purchased Minecraft no longer available


    A couple of years ago, I was given a keycode by Mojang for Windows 10 Minecraft because I had purchased Java version.
    It's been working without any issues.

    When I changed motherboard (same Windows image), Minecraft stopped working.
    I uninstalled it.
    Now when I go to the store, it says I need to purchase it again.

    Mojang are unable to assist.

    Under my account, it's not showing - just the various XBox games I've bought over the years.

    Am I missing something really obvious?

    Purchased Minecraft no longer available

    You do not have to repurchase Minecraft if you haven’t played for a while or you’ve switched devices.

    If you need to redownload the game, visit this page and follow the instructions for the version you prefer.
    Minecraft for Windows 10:

    1. Using your Microsoft account, sign into the Microsoft store on your PC.
    2. Click on the three dots in the Windows Store next to your profile picture.
    3. Go to My Library. If you already own the game, you can download it from there.
    If you are not able to find a copy on your device please ensure you are logged into the correct account.

    I can't buy Minecraft on Xbox One

    If you want the regular Minecraft Xbox One Edition, you'll have to purchase it on disc. It is no longer available for purchase digitally.

    Not a license, but it does show in the order history.

    His Minecraft account is his Microsoft account, they're not separate accounts. When you checked the order history, did you log in using his correct email?
