Purchased Java version for Windows; In Demo Mode

I bought the Win Java version for my son and he tells me that it is in demo mode? I downloaded from my MS account and it seems to install fine. Obviously I do not play the game so feel free to ask qualifying questions.

Note: There is a red banner at the screen bottom: Error while retrieving MS Store account, installs from Launcher may error and some games may not launch. I do not seem to have any issues w the store because I successfully purchased and DL'd.

Based on the description, it appears that you are having an issue on the red banner at the screen bottom: Error while retrieving MS Store account.

Before anything else, let me ask you the following questions below so that I fully understand the problem.

1. When does the issue started?

2. Can you send us a screenshot showing the issue? For us to better understand the issue.

Kindly try performing Perform Clean Boot and check.

Placing your system in Clean Boot state helps in identifying if any third party applications or startup items are causing the issue. Check this issue in clean boot state.

Press Windows key + X key. And select Run.
Type msconfig in the Run box and hit Enter.
On the Services tab of the System Configuration dialog box, tap or click to select the Hide all Microsoft services check box, and then tap or click Disable all.
On the Startup tab of the System Configuration dialog box, tap or click Open Task Manager.
On the Startup tab in Task Manager, for each startup item, select the item and then click Disable.
Close Task Manager.
On the Startup tab of the System Configuration dialog box, tap or click OK, and then restart the computer.

the java version is seperate from the windows store, java version supports modding, the bedrock version that is on windows store/mobile/consoles needs to be purchased for each platform that you use it on.

Thanks, but it still says Java needs to be purchased and is only offering the Demo Version. Do I have to wait a period of time or…?

It is all the same email. I can sign in to the Microsoft account without issue. The issue is that it doesn't shoe a purchase of java minecraft. I can play minecraft for windows with that account without issue. Just not the Java version. There is no error message, but I only have access to the demo. The account is secured with my phone number.

Perhaps we can explore why I have windows minecraft but not Java minecraft. Articles indicate that I should have access to both.
