Purchased games no longer accessible on XBOX

My Son got xbox and some games with it and had a problem with a Gamer Tag and delated the tag or account and we cant seem to recover that Particuar account or to know what the account was or gamer tag but the game was Minecraft and it was downloaded from
the ONLINE STORE and we still have the Product Key used to download the game and XBOX tells me the game has Already downloaded but every time he tries to play it it directs him to Purchase it again or redeam a code for it but the code will not work as its
already been used so he is unable to unlook the game even though its been Purchased and tells us its on his System ?

Digital games are tied to the account that purchased them so if that is the previous owners account and they have removed it, the games are no longer accessible.

I have a problem with the store d and the contents are no longer accessible in the games page and gray in color and no picture on the home there are no longer the gold games and notifications.

 

You don't own the games that were already installed the previous owner does. You will need the account that used the product key originally to be able to download it again

 

There is no Prevoius owners involved my son deleated the origanal Gamer tag that was set up on the XBOX when Purchased by me and same Gamer Tag was used to Download the minecraft game he doe not know the Details and nor do I so we have a XBOX that tells
us Minecraft is installed but we dont know how we can access the Content to use it

 

Codes are one time use only and are tied to the account they were redeemed on. He would need the original account in order to redownload it and play again or at least sign into the original account again and set the console as his Home so he can access the
game on a different account. Otherwise, the game would have to be purchased again.
