Purchased game on DVD media could be made available for free download!

At Microsoft , Good Morning !

I had a problem with " Dance Central 3 " acquired in January 2013 on DVD .
The disc came with an internal spot, right on the edge , but did not stop reading .
Now in December 2013 the xbox360 can not read the disc stating that the disc is dirty .
I got in touch by phone with Microsoft Brazil and I was told that nothing could be done because it was out of warranty.

Apparently it's a problem that would fit even exchange after the warranty because it is a "hidden " addiction is a problem that manifested itself after the warranty period but which now came on the product as consumer protection law in Brazil ,
Article 26 , paragraph 3 :



" SECTION IV - Decadence and Prescription

Article 26 . The right to claim for apparent defects or lapses easy finding in ( ... ) § 3 In the case of latent defects , the statute of limitations begins at the time the defect is evidenced . "

The suggestion I make to Microsoft is:

For customers who have acquired or who acquire the games media (DVD ) have the right to download the same game for the live dashboard (console ) .

Arguments : the customer has already paid for the license to use the game therefore no reason to pay again for another license.

Microsoft could require a registration code which comes in the game itself and additional information such as the serial number of the Xbox console ensuring that the game really was reacquired legally.

I believe the suggestion is accepted , it will be a big positive difference that Microsoft will provide to its customers worldwide .

I dont think Microsoft has any obligation to exchange the game since its not published by Microsoft. Have you tried reaching out to the developer of the game?

Indeed, Please contact Harmonix for disk replacement. Have you tried to install the game to your HDD?? Is this the only game your having disk read errors with???? GOOD LUCK!!!

 

Thanks for the tip, but do not know how to copy the game from the dvd to the hard drive.

You forget disc scratches aren't defects but user error hence why lemon laws don't apply

Now if you got it within 30 days then it apples

 

The disc already had a stain, internal, between the two sides, on the outside, but it worked and so did not ask for return of the disc. After a year of use the stain began to cause trouble in reading. There are no scratches on the disc.

 

Hey LuSilva-- put the game into the console. Instead of pressing "A" to launch the game, press "X" to view the game details. From that menu the option to install to HDD should show up. You will still need the disk to get the game started but, give
it a try. GOOD LUCK!!!!

 

Again what you are describing is wear and tear

If you see a defect you are required to return it as statue of limitations does take effect

I doubt it has any effect again take it up with the publisher

They will tell you the same thing
