Purchased a Year Long Game Live and Game Pass and can't use with family

Follow the advice from colleagues. And happy gaming for the whole family. In future, my advice is to buy a game pass ultimate which is a combination of both. Since you are using it both it will give you a cheaper option and game pass for PC, same as for
Xbox, but with little fewer games for now.

If you're referring to accounts that are listed on the
Microsoft Account website as your family, I'm afraid those accounts will not receive access to any entitlements your account may have. The Family feature only allows use of parental controls; it does not share account privileges. As the other Ambassadors
have correctly noted, users who sign into your account's Home Xbox will be able to use your Gold features as well as play games that you've installed using Xbox Game Pass.

have you set the Xbox as Home for the account that has Gold and Game Pass?

Game Pass itself doesn't share, but they can access any games you download from it.

You can purchase Fortnite separately either as a disc from the likes of Amazon ir as a digital copy from tge xbox store. However, Microsoft has a subscription service...

At the basic level, there's Xbox live, which allows online play etc and provides 4 free selected games per month to download and keep.

Next there is Game Pass, which alliws access to a large library of games for free for as long as you subscribe or as long as a particular game is in the library.

The final tier is Game Pass Ultimate, which has the benefits if standard GP and xbox live as well as allowing game pass on PC (but with a smaller library of games).

There are quite often offers for upgrading from live to ultimate for the cost of £1/€1/$1. This is a brilliant offer to take advantage of if you purchase up to 3 years of the less expensive xbox live then take up the uograde offer, as it converts the full
3 years to ultimate!
