Purchased a Battlefield 2042 for a friend but its on my xbox how do i move it to his?

Unfortunately, there's no way to transfer the game from your account to the other.

In this case, you may need to request a refund at xbox.com/refunds and if it's not listed yet you may manually request a refund by filling out the refund form here: https://support.xbox.com/forms/request-a-refund so you can repurchase the game as a gift.

I'm having issues inside battlefield 2042 with inviting a friend (plays on xbox one X) and I play on Xbox series S, they are on my xbox friends list but not on my battlefield list, I tried typing their EA name and it doesn't show up, I had them look me up and the same for them...any ideas?

I hope you are doing well today. Welcome to the Xbox Community. Thank you for reaching out to Xbox Forums. You mentioned that you purchased Battled 2042 physical version. With Battlefield 2042, there are two versions that the Publisher EA released. When you bought the game, did you make sure it was the one that gave you access to both the Xbox One & Series X version? Or did you purchase the one that only gives you the Xbox One version and is playable via back compat on Xbox Series X. Click Here to view an example of what I am trying to explain? If you purchased the incorrect version of Battlefield 2042, I would contact the store or place you bought it and see if they could exchange it for you and sell you the correct version.

Can you please download the game directly on EA Desktop App?

1. Open the EA app on your PC

2. Navigate to My Collection and select Battlefield 2042, or alternatively search for Battlefield 2042

3. Select the Download button

You're welcome and to access the trial simply follow the steps below:

On your console, open the Store app and search for Battlefield 2042

Select Battlefield 2042 Xbox One - Choose edition

Select Battlefield 2042 Xbox One - this should be the first option with no price available

Select Free Trial with EA Play and then select Install all
