    Purchased $160 in xbox gift cards was double charged for $320


    I made a series of purchases March 16th 2020. A batch of $25, $60, and $100 to add on to my purchase of promotional balance to buy an Xbox one x. The $25 was immediately completed and authorization on my Paypal was also immediate. The $60 and $100 however
    was double charged on my Paypal and has been pending authorization. The $60 and $100 now shows as completed (as per the Xbox one x I ordered for a total of $325 along with my Microsoft rewards promotional balance added to it at least 101,900 worth of rewards
    points added on to pre-existing balance on my account)

    It is now march 19th and I have received the Xbox one x and I still have that total combined $160 as pending authorization on my Paypal and they have that transaction on hold even though they already deducted the $60 + $100 from me and shown as completed.
    Now I'm really worried about this transaction since those gift cards I ordered were already completed and I even received the console I ordered with those gift cards. Meanwhile, there is an extra $160 in total transaction still pending authorization on my
    Paypal and they have that balance on hold. I have contacted the Microsoft number provided in that Paypal Microsoft merchant and I have not received a single reply. Support has been less than helpful since the transaction is already completed and has no support
    whatsoever when it comes to pending authorizations, thing is I'm not trying to get a refund for those transactions already completed, I just need that $160 pending authorizations to be cleared.

    Same thing happened with me. I order 25+60+100 in giftcards all said completed but I was double charged for each one despite them saying it's all completed. I bought these on top of the Microsoft rewards added on to buy a deal for an Xbox one x. Funny thing
    is I just got my Xbox one x today using those same gift card balance, and I still have the larger ones (60+100) as pending authorization. Despite them having deducted from my bank, despite me even receiving the item I purchased already I'm still being double
    charged. So I don't know why In the world I am being double charged for $160. I understand that this might be a precautionary on their side. But that 160 dollars isn't something to scoff at and I really need it for this month and they have that deduction on
    my account on hold. Never ordering from Microsoft again, better to just buy the gift cards off the stores.

    Just double check that the credit on the gift card matches the cost of the purchase, or is greater.

    If you wish to purchase Game Pass with a gift card you have to get Game Pass specific gift cards
