Purchase xbox one Live subscription, 1 month loss

Hi all,

I just purchase a new 12 months subscription on the Xbox market. Currently, the subscription expires on 8/31/2019.

Previously I had a code for the Xbox live 12 months expiring on 8/31/2018.

I therefore lost 1 month of subscription (August month) because during the purchase the expiry date should have accumulate and expire on 9/30/2019.

I read on several forums that the expiry date accumulate with subscriptions.

Was there an error on my account?

Prepaid cards

If you purchase a csv (currency stored value) ppc, which is added to your Microsoft account, you can then purchase games, add-ons, etc. without adding a credit card to your account. However, you CAN NOT purchase an xbox live subscription with a csv ppc.
You MUST purchase an Xbox live ppc to add a 1-month, 3-month, or 12-month subscription.

Is it possible to purchase more than 1 month at a time? 3 months or 12 months at a time like the Xbox Live Subscription?

if it does show the incorrect date then you will have to contact Xbox Support via Phone or Microsoft Support Chat at Contact Us | Xbox Support they are the only ones that can look into this issue and hopefully solve it.

The option your referring to is the Xbox LIVE Gold Family Pack which is $99.99, this is a full 1 time payment, not monthly.

This gives you the ability to add 4 Xbox LIVE Gold members who will all have a 1 year Xbox LIVE Gold subscription.

A normal 1 year subscription costs $59.99 and that is specifically for 1 account, and it is also paid at one time.

Other subscriptions available are 1 month ($9.99 / month), and 3 months ($24.99 / per every 3 months paid in full).

To add to what has already been said keep this in mind.

If you ever use the card to purchase any subscription (Gold, Gamepass, EA access) the system will turn the auto renew on for that subscription so at the end of whatever amount of time you pay for (1 month, 3 month, 1 year) it will automatically renew for
that period at the end of the current timeframe.

Now with the 3 month and 1 year subscriptions ONE month prior to it renewing it will send you out an email reminder letting you know that it is coming due.

The only time it will not auto renew is if you were to purchase one of the xbox live gold subscription cards (you can purchase these at any retail store) and enter in the 25 digit code on the card into your account and those will not auto renew.

Thanks for coming to the forums. We understand you are wanting to try and suspend or halt the Xbox live subscription. Unfortunately, there is no way of doing this. Once the subscription runs out, you can purchase Xbox live gold subscription
cards. They range from 1 month to 1 year. Although buying them monthly is more expensive you can limit his subscription better by the month. Any subscription will continue running even if not being used.
