Purchase Backwards Compatible content with Microsoft Money on X Box One

It has been this way since the currency changeover in 2013. When Xbox closed the book on Microsoft Point and turned it into Microsoft Currency, the Xbox.com store then required a credit/debit card or paypal payment option. Since the Xbox One uses the Xbox.com
marketplace to purchase backwards compatible content, you will need to use a valid payment method. You can always head over to xbox.uservoice.com and vote for this to possibly change in the future.

Are you trying to buy One games or backwards compatible games? The Microsoft account balance cannot be used to purchase backwards compatible content on the One.

The One store/website have never been updated to work with the currency system for backwards compatible content. The only way to purchase backwards compatible games with the funds on your account is through a 360 console.

Oblivion is backwards compatible so it will work on the One X. You can view a list of backwards compatible games at https://www.xbox.com/xbox-one/backward-compatibility/available-games

I read up online that the backwards compatible games that work on the X box 1S when I tried the ones from 360s that were backward compatible they didn’t work so I ended up purchasing them on digital copy

There may be a few reasons why a purchase is not being processed, but this game does not look as though it is backwards compatible for the Xbox.
