    Public event


    Was doing some patrol missions on Mars when a Public event message showed up, and all of a sudden a huge, strong bad guy dropped in, and everyone in the area(around 5-8 people) worked together to try and take him down before he reached his destination which
    was not very far. We all failed, but it was really cool to see all the random people coming together at a moments notice to try and beat him. I wish we would have, I am curious to see what we would have gotten. Anyone else have this happen? And take it down?

    Public event

    Had you managed to complete the event successfully you would have gotten three gold stars and you would have received a package to pick up at the post master that usually contains rare or legendary gear. If you didn't
    complete it but still got two silver stars check the post master as you still get a package but the rewards a less attractive like glimmer and gear upgrade materials. I my self have come across this event with others but could not beat it successfully which
    was pretty crazy as I am level ( Light 25) and about 5 others were Light 20-25 and we still couldn't kill him in time so don't feel bad lol. but there are other type of events that are easier and you get some really good rewards from them.

    You get it for completing public events. The events occur in the Patrol missions on each world. I believe you can actually find a predictable timetable online for the events.
