    PUBG (and Kodi app) Will run on my XB1, and 1S, but not my 1X


    I currently have three X Box One consoles in my house, a base Xbox One, a One S, and my Project Scorpio edition Xbox One X.

    I received PUBG for Christmas and spent four days attempting to get it to run on my (updated Beta ring preview program) Xbox One X. I uninstalled and reinstalled it about five or six times, verified the version number with friends who were actively playing
    using the One X, and still was never able to play the game. It will load and begin matchmaking, enter the “island” lobby, and does fine throughout the match countdown. As the countdown timer clicks below “Match Begins in 1..” it freezes and kicks me back
    to the dashboard, every single time.

    I was in another room, and read that the Kodi app was available and downloaded it to the base model Xbox One. It worked fine. I saw PUBG in my recently installed list, and decided to try it on that console. It downloaded, installed, loaded, and worked.
    Completely. I got into the game, and played for awhile.

    After that, I went back to my One X in the other room, uninstalled and reinstalled PUBG again, same thing happened as before. Loaded to the countdown and froze at 1.

    I decided to go ahead and install Kodi, and when I launched it, it kicked me back to the dashboard after the splash screen indicating that it was version 18. L********* Alpha.

    These are the only two apps/games that do this to me, and only on the XBox One X.

    Has anyone else encountered this issue, or know how to get them running on the X?

    i have an xbox 1x set as home also just purchased a new xbox 1s

    i have family members added as family and set as home xbox on the 1x but they cant see my games from xbox live gold ,ea pass or game pass unless i am signed in

    I bought my Xbox one x yesterday I hook it up I can't my 4k resolution option. So I hook my gears 1s which did give me my 4k option wat going on so I hook the 1x back up to my vizo 4k tv and now I get 1080p and 480/360 option wat the **** my s1 can do 4k
    but my 533.96 1x doesn't wat the **** is going on

    This post is hopefully serving as a bump to the thread as I haven't seen or heard of any answers to the problem on these forums. I actually switched out my 1X for the 1S and played for numerous hours without any issue. This is definitely something with
    the programming of the game for the 1X console and hopefully it can be addressed/patched asap. It isn't a huge downgrade to go back to the 1S, but still annoying that I cannot maximize the products I own and paid for.....please MS or Undead see this and do
    something.

    Can you please try following this
    4K/HDR trobleshooting     guide to see if it helps resolve your problem but first if you have not already done so carry out a full television and console restart to make sure there is no handshake issue between the two devices.

    Like others have said depends.... if you got money to spend go buy a 1X.....but even a 1S is still fine... or just hold off and wait for the new one....

    Kodi will not work

    As others have already mentioned, it is likely Kodi itself, especially if other apps work. Xbox are not really responsible for ensuring other developers apps run on their console.
