Psychonauts problem

Hi,

There is a problem for psychonauts (BC Xbox Og) on Xbox One since last update.

-> Black screen after introduction and on start menu.

:)

Same problem here, can´t redownload Psychonauts :-(

 

Psychonauts audio problem

If you read the prompt before downloading Xbox Original games under the description it says some games will have small audio and video issues in some cases and it's normal. Thats what happens I guess when you don't make your game system 100% BC

Sorry to hear that you're having problems with playing Psychonauts on the Xbox One.

I notice that you didn't get a lot of attention on that older thread so I split your post into a new one so that we can tailor support to your specific needs.

Now, I would recommend that if you're having problems with any backwards compatible games, your best course of action would be to try the steps here on our support page entitled

Troubleshoot playing Xbox 360 games on your Xbox One.

If that does not work, then I would go ahead and try what we call a soft reset of your console.
It's a reset of your console back to factory settings but one that does not uninstall any of your games or apps and is a really good troubleshooting step for most issues.



Just make sure that before you go ahead with it, that you do know all of the sign-in information for any/all of your accounts(asthey
will be removed) and have easy access to your internet network.

Also make sure that you select the option denoted
reset and keep my games and apps.

Hello,

I don’t think asking everyone (and there appears to be a lot of people) who’s had an issue trying to play Psychonauts since at least August to do a soft reset is a reasonable course of action.

I’d like there to be some sort of investigation on Microsoft’s side first to determine whether a patch can fix this before I go through the major inconvenience of a soft reset.

Thanks for the reply. In reference to the black screen on the Xbox may be a result of a corrupted file from the games update. When this occurs, I suggest

uninstall and
re-installing the game.

If the problem persists, try doing a
soft factory reset of the console,
Reset and keep games and apps to help reset the operating system. Note: Before doing this troubleshooting step, make sure to know your email and passwords for your Xbox profiles.

Try this out first and let us know the results.
