Ps5 minecraft microsoft account already connected

I have a current microsoft account that I'd like to use to cross-platform play on ps5 when I try to sign in it says an account is already connected. I looked up the username that it displayed and it says the account doesn't exist, I tried methods suggested by microsoft but it didn't work so now I'm stuck unable to log into an account to unlink an account that doesn't exist so now I can't cross platform play

The problem is I tried looking up the account (I never linked it) and it doesn't exsist

I understand you wanted to link your Microsoft/Minecraft account on your PS5. Please note that only one Microsoft account can be associated with any PlayStation account at any one time. Neither the Microsoft or PlayStation Network accounts can be associated with a different account.

On Minecraft and Minecraft dungeons it says sign into Microsoft Account. I do it says to sigh into the account that’s already connected. And I did and it says the same thing to go back to the other account. I been trying since Christmas it’s impossible. I spend at lest 4 hours a day trying different ways to sign in on my ps5.

Hi Josef, I’m having the same issue however this is the first time I’ve got minecraft on any PlayStation, I’ve tried logging in to Minecraft on PS5 and it gives me the same message, there is only my account on my PS5 yet it says my Microsoft account is already linked to another PSN account, I do not have minecraft on PS4. I attempted to use a different Microsoft account but all I got was a signing in screen for 10 minutes so gave up.

(Edit: just installed minecraft on my ps4 with the same PSN account and also says the Microsoft account is linked to a different PSN account but Nintendo switch works fine so seems to be an issue with PlayStation minecraft)

I understand you want to link your Microsoft account to your PS5. Sorry to hear that you're facing issues with linking your account. Have you linked your Microsoft account to Playstation account before?

The error normally indicates that your PS5 is already linked with a different Microsoft account or your Microsoft account is linked with another PSN.
