PS4 Dualshock won't connect

I have had a PS4 Dualshock controller a little over a year now, I used to be able to connect it via bluetooth without any third party app. Connecting it through bluetooth through the settings without a hitch! Now, for the past week or so, I have been trying to connect it like I used to. It connects to my PC, lasts about a minute, and the moment I open a game, it is no longer "connected" and only paired. The light bar on the PS4 Dualshock controller turning off completely. It even turns off by itself when no games are launched and Im checking it through steam.

What do I do!? I just want to play wirelessly like I used to.

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Xbox Community. I'm sorry to hear that you're having issues with your PS4 controller. Does this happen whenever you're connected through USB cable or just when connected wirelessly through Bluetooth?

Do you have a different controller to test and compare so we can see if the issue is coming from your PC or directly from the controller?

I would recommend that you reset your controller.

On the back of your controller, you will find a tiny hole – the reset button is inside this hole. Use a small, unfolded paper clip (or something similar) to press and hold the reset button for at least five seconds

To be honest you may have to contact Sony about connecting a PlayStation controller to PC.

From PlayStation’s website:

“You can connect a DUALSHOCK 4 wireless controller to a Windows PC using a DUALSHOCK®4 USB wireless adaptor or a compatible micro USB cable.”

Probably yes, it works, 'cause it works on Dualshock 4 for PS4, with both Chat and Audio game.

And the Dualshock 4 is CTIA standard, not OMTP.
