Ps4 controller issue in Windows 11.

Windows 11 suddenly decided to not recognize my controller as a controller. Tried DS4Windows/Input Mapper. No controllers connected. Tried setup USB game controllers. The controller was not there. My Xbox controller works fine so I'm confused why that happened. Again, I tried everything in the Microsoft forums and it either did nothing or made it worse.

P.S: This happened with EVERY ps4 controller, not just one.

I suggest trying a different USB cable if possible, make sure it's a data cable. Keep in mind that the PS4 controller only officially supports connecting to Windows PCs using Sony's wireless adaptor or a micro USB cable. If the issue persists, uninstall any 3rd party apps that may interfere with controller functionality, such as DS4Windows.

I've updated the driver and used this controller on other PCs with windows 11 and the problem still persists.

If your controller isn't working on other PC running Windows 11 it tells me something is wrong with your controller.

There aren't any compatibility issues with older Xbox 360 controllers and Windows 11. I've just tried my old Xbox 360 wired controller in my brand new Windows 11 based PC and it works fine. The fact that it isn't working now is likely coincidental.

I play on windows 11 and my friend plays on the PS4.

The Xbox app Game Pass App is going to come pre-installed on Windows 11, and Microsft want users to connect their controllers trouble free to the new OS.

The biggest issue would be to check if your PC is compatible for Windows 11, not your controllers.

In any event, Win 11 won't suddenly make Win 10 obsolete.
