Promo gift card links not working

I received three promotional $5 Windows Store gift cards via email from a promotion back in the end of February/beginning of March. They say to redeem by May 31st, and I tried clicking the link in the emails today, and I got an error saying , "This link
has expired. Please contact the sender of the email for more information." The sender was *** Die E-Mail-Adresse wurde aus Datenschutzgründen entfernt. ***.

I was hoping to use them for some purchases I made today, but was unable. Please help! Thanks.

Thanks but i wasnt talking about an Xbox Gift Card but a Microsoft (Store) Gift Card (Microsoft Currency) since it is directly Microsoft shouldnt it work on promo-code for Dev mode payment ?

Typically with promos like that, the gift card is sent a couple of weeks after the purchase.

Thanks Darkplayer 2. I am looking to buy the Xbox gift card from an online vendor, like NewEgg, Amazon, etc... Which they occasionally have promo codes that will discount the Xbox gift card by 20%. So the $50 gift card would only cost me $40 after the
promo code.

This is good to know, b/c one review I read somewhere said the $50 card does not cover the everything and they could not split the transaction to cover the tax.
