Your setup is my backup plan. The setup I'm proposing is cable box/ps3/appleTV->receiver->xbox one->projector. With this setup, I can switch the feed going to the xbox with the receiver but unfortunately, audio needs special consideration.

How long is your total HDMI length overall. Have you tried HDMI to a TV (rather than the projector) just to check? Try other setups to narrow it down. Is it just the cable TV? Does the X1 dash go through to the projector?.

I have a Vizio soundbar 2.1 and no sound. My setup is a Projector, xfinity cable box all to Xbox one. What am i doing wrong? I have a picture.
