profile sign out while on or offline

No need to unplug router or power cycle console.

An easier workaround is to sign out of your profile

Then sign in or create an offline profile(Do not connect it to Live)

Load up exo zombies with the offline profile. Once you are in the exo zombies menu sign out of offline profile then sign back into your xbox live profile. You can new play exo zombies as normal.

If they played it while offline, nothing would happen to your account unless they signed into Xbox Live on that console with that profile. There is no way for the account to update unless that console that played it offline signed in into Xbox Live.

All of the achievements you got in the original game were unlocked offline. That may be the problem. If you earn achievements offline you must be signed in to that copy of the profile next time you sign in. There are 2 copies of your profile - offline and
online. They are usually always in sync. But if you take a copy to a mates place or have an offline console they can get out of sync. If you then recover your profile you replace your offline profile with the out of date online profile.

@ Gyther - Yes, the error occurs when signing on with an offline profile during start up and when switching during games. No, I don't want or need XBL accounts for my childern under the age 5, or for my wife. I just want to know why the offline profiles
are trying to connect anyway, seems like an OFFLINE profile should be just that. It almost seems like a way to drive offline profiles into online ones.

The really really frustrating part is trying to switch offline profiles generates the "error" and you HAVE to "test" or not sign in. If you tell it not to test, it simply exits the sign in. I've tried multiple times, to sign in and not test and it will always
exit. So my choice is A) Not sign in, B) Exit the game, log out ALL profiles and test a connection, that shouldn't even be in use for the offline accounts. Then, sign everyone back in and continue to play the game and HOPE it doesn't ask to test while switching
between profiles. Do you know how aggrivating that whole mess is to small childern just trying to play Fruit Ninja? I spend more time testing and logging in and out than they get to enjoy actual game play.

@ Phoenix - NO, my only XBL live account (IP6) is the free one. It seems to be working fine, if I sign on with it, I get no error. The OFFLINE ones ALWAYS give me a "cannot connect to XBL, would you like to test?" as soon as I sign on. Testing the connection
ALWAYS works and says everything it fine.

Wired makes no difference.
