Profile Ownership

Hello, I’ve been using my mothers email for Xbox Live for close to a decade now and now that I am grown I have been wanting to change the email or ownership of the account to my own. I do not want her to lose access to all her other products associated
with the account so i was wondering if it is possible to give someone ownership of an Xbox account.

if you set your mums profile as home xbox on the xbox you will be using you can use your games on the new account, but you cannot transfer anything between profiles.

Thank you for taking the time to post this on the Xbox Forums. We understand that you are seeking to transfer your Xbox profile to another Microsoft account.

As stated by Xbox Forums Ambassador [Farscape], since your Microsoft account is an amalgamation of different services, and thus there is no
way to remove just one service [Xbox profile] to another Microsoft account.

As far as the data, there is an FAQ that covers
this, but ill post the most applicable excerpt:

"Currently, you can't move your services from one Microsoft account to another. This option may be available in the future."

nope, you would need to start with a fresh profile.

Yes, buying it on another account but the same console will make it usable on any profile on the xbox.

Digital rights will tie to ownership to the purchasing profile and the profile you bought it on.
