Process after returning xbox for out of warranty repair/replacement

I returned my grandsons xbox one s for out of warranty repair/replacement, I have received confirmation from UPS that it has been delivered to Germany but have received nothing from Microsoft. When I checked my account a couple of days ago all stages had
been ticked as being completed yet the xbox was only delivered today. When will I receive any information from Microsoft to confirm receipt of the item and how long does it take before I get an answer about my item.

Got an Xbox One, dead upon arrival.

Okay guys, first of all:

1) I am not bad-mouthing the Xbox One... quite the contrary, considering how much I want to play it.

2) The first thing I did when I found out about this was contact Amazon and the store I purchased it from... I am not a fool and I know how the return process works. This is their DIRECT RESPONSE to my return request:

We are sorry to hear the item you received is defective. In our return policy we only accept video games return with unopened in manufacture seal condition. Since, we don't have technical staff to fix/repair console so we don't provide warranty service. However, all video games comes with direct manufacture warranty service. According to your describe, your XBOX ONE has a hardware defective issues, another two customer who bought XBOX ONE Special Edition Sunset Overdrive Bundle in this holiday season also have the hardware defective problem. After they contacted the XBOX ONE technical support, and their problem is fixed. So, we suggest you to contact the XBOX ONE and have their trained technical staff to help you solve your problem, if the problem can't be solved via the phone/ live chat and then they will issue you the RMA with return label for you to return the product for repair/replacement for free under warranty service.

'Dream Kitty' (stupid name, yes) is a store on Amazon, and no longer has the Sunset Overdrive Bundles on sale. So even if they did accept a return I wouldn't receive the Xbox I want.


3) Advance Exchange was "unavailable" when I filled out my return/repair ticket to Microsoft.


So at the time, it seemed my only option was to take Microsoft up on their free repair service. If it is unable to be repaired, it will be replaced with a new unit. I don't care what happens, I just want it to work.


Now for those of you incapable of reading and processing a couple sentences (*cough* FlyinFisch *cough*), all I want to know if anyone has gone through this process and what time frame I can expect.

Contact Us option and then select to either Chat with Xbox Support or Request a phone call from support. If you provide them with the repair reference number they should be able to advise further.
