Problems with Xbox Series X Wired Connection

Hello,

I recently bought an ethernet cord, and I've had trouble with maintaining a wired connection to my Xbox Series X.

Initially, I cleared my MAC address and went through my router settings to enable UPnP. That worked for that play session. However, when I turned my Xbox on the next day, it would not automatically reconnect. I cleared the MAC address, which worked for a single play session again. I set up port forwarding which, again, only worked for a single session.

The only consistent fix I have found is clearing the MAC address whenever I turn my Xbox on. Obviously, this has been an inconvenience and has been very frustrating as I thought it would be easy to play through a wired connection like all of my other devices. Is there a fix for this?

My modem/router is a Motorola MG7700.

No, it's not possible to use an Xbox One or Xbox Series X|S controller on an Xbox 360 even connected with a wire.

I have one Xbox (Series X) wired via Ethernet. I can play on WiFi with no disconnects but I prefer a wired connection for gaming.

Wired connection for the Series X and wireless for the Series S. Doesn't seem to make much difference.

I tried this and it worked for 2 days. Now I'm back to having the same issue of not being able to connect with a wired connection unless I clear my MAC address. Wireless still works fine.
