    Hey I am new here, just bought xbox game pass to try the service, the thing is I can not install any games, it downloads like 90-100% and then the error 0x080070005 appears, i have tried updating all the drivers the windows, reinstalling the app, scannow
    in cmd, and many other suggestions i saw in threads but still no way to play any game ¿does anyone have a real solution for this? thanks

    Hi thanks for the reply, I already tried that, created a separate admin login and even tried to install it on a different hard drive but it doesn't work, but I do think it might be related to some administration privileges as I can install metal slug and
    astroneer, both of which it doesnt say that i need admin privileges on their page, still I can not figure out how to solve the problem

    Hi,

    Sorry for the delay responding. Error Code 080070005 is an 'access denied' Windows error.

    Typically when this error occurs you can't install anything on to a particular drive, I've not heard of a download getting to 90% or 100% then failing with 080070005.

    I suspect the error may be down to administration privileges with the Windows user account you're using when downloading the games.

    I would try creating a new Windows account, remembering to give it Administration access. Log in on both the Windows Store and the Game Pass app with your account that has Game Pass and try installing a game again.
