    Problems with the compability of my Skylanders Portal of Power.


    I have bought Skylanders Superchargers on my Xbox One S because it's available in the store for 50 euros. The problem is that I have an old portal of power which is the Skylanders Trap Team Wii Version. It works with his own USB. When I connect it in the Xbox, the portal turns on the light with colors which means that it works. However, the game says that it's not connected. I try to reset the game, the Xbox and connect again the portal but it always appears.

    I would like to let you know that you need to have the Xbox version of this Skylanders Trap Team (if they released it) because the Wii is a different platform and the content there is not compatible with Xbox and vice versa.

    What are you trying to do is, for example, inserting an Xbox game on a PlayStation console.

    I had a similar problem with my Xbox and the problem turned out to be my Skylanders portal plugged into the USB port. I'm guessing it was drawing too much power from the Xbox and shutting down the Kinect.

    The solution was to just disconnect the portal. Hope this helps someone out there :)

    I emailed Activision with my problems and they sent me a new Skylanders portal for free. I got it today , and it works perfectly so thankfully the portal was the problem.

    We understand that you are trying to to play Skylanders Trap Team portal of power on Xbox Series X and is unable to work. Let us check on this together and sort this out in timely manner for you to get back to gaming.

    Upon checking our resources, we found a thread with a suggestion from SwordofWhedon on this thread - Skylanders trap team portal not working - Microsoft Community

    This maybe the same with your concern and try to use the correct Xbox console version of the portal to make it work.

    As what we can see from the Activision Support page is that it is possible that the older version of my Portal of Power work with the newest Skylanders games in the series.
