    Problems with my Xbox one S’ performance


    I’ve been playing my Xbox one s for over 2 years now with not too many problems besides my wifi, however for the past few months most of the games I play will freeze, lag, and sometimes outright just quit on me even if it’s not a game with large performance requirements. I don’t know what to do to fix this or at least make it better (besides probably getting a new gen) so if anyone had a similar problem with this and somehow fixed please tell me how and thank you in advance

    Well, I like the performance that the games on Xbox Series S have (I played on my brothers Series S) but I need something that isn't all that expensive. I am aware about the high prices for the Xbox S and X, and although the Series S is on my list, do you think there is one that may be better for price, but holds similar performance?

    Pixelated band at the bottom of Netflix

    I've noticed the exact same problem. I'm thinking it's a streaming issue. Since Xbox One has poor streaming performance with Netflix, it displays artifacts like that when struggling to reach the full resolution. Tested several identical shows on PS4's Netflix
    App without any problems...only on my Xbox One.

    Xbox One S also lets you stream in 4K quality, the One does not. I used to have a One, but I upgraded to the One S, it performs better and does not overheat like my old one used to.

    Update issue

    This is seeming to be a popular problem with Fridays update. I have an Xbox One X that's having the same problem. Downloading the offline system update is no help either. It would appear the OSU1 file is outdated and won't help solve the problem. I tried
    performing the OSU to a functioning Xbox One S, and that gave an E100 error. So my advice would be to wait for an announcement from Xbox before sending it in.

    its good to hear got you fixed your backward compatibility problem on your Xbox 360.
    clearing the system cache on the Xbox 360's and Xbox one's consoles can fix the performance and some other problems you experience on the consoles.
