    Problems With Launching Fallout 3


    Hey guys, i've been looking through the bethesda forums as well and I can't seem to be able to open Fallout 3. The forums say that i need to download an older version of Xbox Console companion for windows 8, 7, or 8.1 because it will not work on newer version.
    I was wondering were i can download an older version of console companion, this is also kinda ridiculous how many hoops i have to jump through

    If it's the PC version of the game you are trying to play, then you need to download the Games for Windows Live client. You should be able to download that from here https://support.xbox.com/en-GB/games/game-setup/games-for-windows-live-info. Just
    install it, and you should be able to play the game.
    Actually you don't need the GFWL client and if you have the client it can be removed from the PC version

    Fallout 3 available to buy from Gog.com has this modification already set in the installer. I have this version too.

    Yes. I have fallout 3 and fallout new vegas that played perfectly. The fallout 3 stopped launching after I downloaded some DLC and stopped working tho

    Yes it is on disc a clean disc I may add. I have played since launch without any problems, this started around June and has been getting worse.

    I had the same problem with Fallout 4 and Witcher 3
