Problems with GT.

You will need to obtain 800 Microsoft points and change your gamertag

if you are being harassed you can:

1. Change your privacy settings

2. Block communications with the player so you don't receive messages from them

Unless it's offensive (as in properly offensive eg: your GT is "Hitler") then no dice on getting a forced name change.

By chance do you download your games onto the hard drive when the drive is connected to a different console? Like a friend's or family member's.

You're description sounds like your console is acting as a roaming console. (support.xbox.com/.../download-content).

If that's the case, you'll have to do a license transfer to your actual console to be able to play the games without having to be connected to Live. The link above will also show the steps to do a license transfer.

Just because the tag is not on use on xbox live doesn't mean it's not in use.It could be being used for a Zune account etc.
