Problems with Game Pass game install

The error code 0x8007001F means "A device attached to the system is not functioning."
(And from a distance, only guessing remains)

Did you change a default install Locations (at settings->storage->)??

But I guess it is your GPU and maybe a new driver could help and also to reinstall DirectX Redist (June 2010)

During install I see no UAC prompt on the games that require admin acceptance.

I'm the only user and constantly start up Xbox beta as Admin each and every time.

Even now at time index 01:04am EST; Trying to install DBD; spent the last hour with it stuck at "Resuming 0%"

You may have missed my point.

I have problems when installing specific GamePass games onto my tower; Vampyr, The Other Worlds, DBD. It took THREE tries to get The Other Worlds to install and THEN I could not even see my avatar's face when setting up the avatar for that game.

Games that do not require admin approval install just fine

If this Powershell option does not work, The only option is a root canal and that's not fun

Yes there are differences: the games you want to download from steam you owne - the game pass games is something like rent!!

Most of the time, if it says "needs administrator approval for installation," you should simply grant your account these rights for the Installation. If you don't do this, there are problems with the installation and you usually find it difficult to get
rid of them.

And if the game works proper after the Setup,
you can try remove the Administrator Right, and hopefully this does have no side effect on the game.

Yes, I wanted the games to go onto an 8TB hard drive than a 1TB hard drive. Better really for more storage space.

DISM did not work,

Power shell did not work.

Most of the advice on here did not work.

What DID work: A Root Canal; dumping everything on the System drive to the 8TB hard drive, reboot, use the SSD created Boot disc to Sanitize

the SSD drive, reboot, drive menu, Using SanDIsk 32GB 3.0 USB drive, Reinstall Windows 10 from scratch, get into a yelling match over Windows Hello Pin that I do not see the logicial need, or desire for. Then spending 30 minutes to install the Game Pass
program that I did not have before, and then spent the night, WITHOUT SLEEP I might add reinstalling the games that I had on the 8TB hard drive.

So I solved it myself and how I did that is in the "What DID work" Category.

Step your game up as most people do keep their OS up to date and maybe make sure that Windows 10 don't have any more bugs in the bloody OS coding.
