    Problems with email on my Rewards account


    I have been a member of the rewards program since 2014 but have never received anything. I was doing a bit of investigation today, and saw the following message in My Rewards:

    "Information Needed
    Some of the information we have on file appears to be incorrect. Please ensure the personal email associated with your Microsoft Commerce account is correct by clicking the button below. If it is in fact correct, please create a post in our support forum

    here
    ."

    The email registered is the email that is registered with my xbl account (*** Die E-Mail-Adresse wurde aus Datenschutzgründen entfernt. ***). Admittedly, I don't really check that email, so maybe I need to change it...but I assumed my rewards email should be linked to my xbl email.

    Please advise. Thank you

    I haven't received Xbox Live Reward credits for purchases in a couple years

    I started experiencing problems with my microsoft account after changing the email a couple years ago. Account related emails still went to my old email, and I no longer earned reward credits on any purchase. I also was unable to apply any reward credits
    to purchases on my xbox. I was previously able to make one purchase with reward credits before this problem happened. My balance has been around 60,000 for a couple years and has not changed, but I get a monthly reward report each month to an old email (the
    report always says zero credits earned).

    I have probably spent several thousand USD in the last couple years, and have not received reward credits for any of these purchases.

    That notification is just to let you know that we have detected that you have not recently received an email from our program, and may wish to update your information. It is not a notification of an error on your account. The reason why you have not received
    Credits is because you can earn Xbox Live Rewards Credit in two ways:

    1. By finishing the offers located on the MyMissions page at Xbox Live Rewards .

    -or-

    2. For non-offer purchases, you can earn Credits by earning a one star MyVIP level through purchasing at least $300 USD or regional equivalent of eligible content. After you receive your first star you will begin to earn a percentage of your eligible purchases
    back as payback Rewards Credit. Pre-orders, in-game consumables, and subscriptions are not eligible for MyVIP.

    Since your purchases have not completed any offers, you have not received Credits in that manner. Since you are a zero star member, you do not get payback Credits on your purchases. You can check your current MyVIP level/progress at (Xbox Live Rewards).

    Since it sounds like your knowledge of the program may be out of date, in September 2015, we made some refinements to the program. One change that happened was an adjustment of MyVIP purchase thresholds. If you did not reach any MyVIP ranks with your purchases
    from September 2014-August 31st 2015, you were placed at a default rank. I see that since the yearly reset, you are nearly at your first star, after which you will begin to receive payback on your purchases. Keep in mind that the next yearly reset is scheduled
    for the end of December.

    Since the promotion I have changed my preferred email and it has caused some problems with not getting emails from Xbox Rewards. Xbox Rewards support said I can't do anything to change that so I would assume the same problem is there for other Xbox offers.
    No email in the junk folder of either email accounts by the way.

    I think I may also be having this same type of an problem since I just yesterday tried to use some of my gems too for an 250 Gem reward, no email for that one yet.

    5,000 Rewards Credits for 250 Gems ,

    but in any case I have yet to get an redeem email code for it, not really sure where I need to go for them to send me my code anyway, it sounds related to some of these problems report on this forum. I think it should convert the points to Microsoft rewards
    points correct, so I can use it on my xbox one, anyway if it was an direct $5 dollar deposit that would be fine, but I don't think its show up on my account yet. it sounds like their having problems with some of these 250 gem rewards , I used an 100 gem rewards
    also yesterday I got an email for that one, but not my 250 gem reward yet.
