    Problems with controller on windows 11


    I have been getting very frustrated with my windows 11 pc recently, when I try to play any game I own with my wired Xbox 360 controller it works for a while and then freezes the entire game, unplugging the controller immediately unfreezes any of the games, when I press the Xbox button while the game is frozen it pops up game bar as it should but I cannot find any answers online as to why this is happening as it seems I am the only person experiencing this issue, I am on windows 11 22h2 as far as I am aware. My motherboard does not have secure boot or the other requirement for windows 11 so I’m having trouble updating it as of right now so that could be the cause. Please help

    I've updated the driver and used this controller on other PCs with windows 11 and the problem still persists.

    If your controller isn't working on other PC running Windows 11 it tells me something is wrong with your controller.

    There aren't any compatibility issues with older Xbox 360 controllers and Windows 11. I've just tried my old Xbox 360 wired controller in my brand new Windows 11 based PC and it works fine. The fact that it isn't working now is likely coincidental.

    Yes. Btw the thing about windows 11 saying "this devise could perform faster if connected via usb 3.0" is not ea sports problem, it`s about windows and xbox - both microsoft. The whole problem is about microsoft in fact as f windows 11 doesn`t recognize xbox wirelees controller with xbox wireless adapter as they are as it should recognize at the first place.

    Windows 11 and I check for updates every day. This problem didn’t start happening until I updated the controller firmware a few days ago.

    Ive already done that. The controller updated just fine but the problem persists as before.

    Ive alreqdy tried:

    Unpairing and repairing the controller

    Uninstalling the bluetooth drivers from the device manager and restarting

    Using the bluetooth troubleshooter

    Reinstalling windows 11

    Updating the controllers firmware

    Dericka, I don`t have console, I play on PC.

    I bought a wireless controller with an adapter wanting a great gaming experience. As far as I know, ea sports, company that makes fifa series is a part of Microsoft. Microsoft releasing Windows 11. I have Windows 11. So all this says that I should not have any problems playing fifa 23 with a xbox wireless controller on Windows 11. So? But I have a problem as I said.

    P.S. Also I forgot to mention that when I lug my xbox wireless adapter for windows in usb 3.0 on my deepcool cg540 case it says that "this devise could perform faster if connected via usb 3.0". So I am confused, Dericka.
