Problems with Anniversary?

I saw here that some gamers were detailing the problems they were having with the new Fable: Anniversary game.

Has anything been changed/fixed? Or is the game still a little too glitchy? I'm thinking about buying it - but not if it's going to be crappy. I'll wait on it if need be.

When you are playing a game what kind of signal strength are you getting? Go to speedtest.net and run three tests; one close to you, one far from you and one in between. Then post the results here for us to see, include the download, upload and
ping.



By chance are you playing on a flat screen tv? If so check the settings for a GAME MODE and enable that.

 

Problems with account!

It sometimes takes time for the transaction to go through. Recovering your account on your system may speed it up. Unless this happened some time ago?

I've recently started Fable and here is what I did.

There has indeed been a patch released but some players were still having problems. What I did was what Lionhead suggested.

Step 1: Buy the game.........

Step 2: As you're new to the game install it and then let the update happen.

Step 3: Don't press any buttons when the game loads after the patch. Instead, make a brew and eat some tasty cake, preferably choccy brownies in a bowl of warm custard...... oh man.

Step 4: What you were doing whilst eat that ever so tasty choc...... chocc.... Oh man I'm slavvering...

Step 4 retried: Ok what you were doing whilst you were waiting was letting the game create a new cache for itself. After about 5 - 10 minutes you're good to go.

I've been playing the game for a total of 10 hours and in that time I've had no frame rate issues but still get the odd game freeze which requires a hardrestart unfortunately.

One thing I will say to you though. Be very careful what missions you choose. The game is now in HD but still has old game unforgivable moments. I played as good character, but because I clicked a bad quest card early on, I now have to slaughter 25 innocents
if I wish to get to the next area. Not game breaking but kills the roleplay.

Enjoy it. Especially if you never played the original like me. Fills in a lot of back story from II & III and also has characters that some weapons were named after in Fable III.

 

Ok after completing my game here is what I can tell you.

In total the game froze around 5-6 within the first 10 hours. It took me 21 hours total to complete the main game and never froze in any other spots that the above mentioned.

If you like achievements then its worth looking up a guide for the Demon Door and silver keys.

I now have to play from halfway through the game again because the fisherman's quest wouldn't activate. Gutted. You should try and get it done asap because it seems timed bound as well as only working when you're good because otherwise you scare him off.
