    Hello,

    I have a very confusing situation, where i think i have tried all the options i know of, and my helpful support chat guy. With the release of FIFA 23 I purchased an XBOX SERIES X.

    When using my xbox through my 1080p HP25x monitor i get really poor resolutions and image quality. I am using a HDMI to HDMI cable. The resolution is set to 1080.

    I have tried my xbox on my 4k tv, and it works perfectly, although i am using the same straight hdmi to hdmi cable provided in the box. The image quality is very similar to when you put your resolution on a game on the pc alot lower then your monitor/desktop resolution, lots of jaggies, AA problems and wish washy graphics. I experience LAG in the in game menu and LOW FPS during cutscenes which run perfectly fine on the 4k tv.

    To give you an idea of what the image looks like, it looks just the same.

    I have tried googling, to no fix and speaking to the really helpful ambassador. but can't seem to fix it.

    Hi Josef, thanks for your reply,

    Are you using an insider build / beta OS in your Xbox? - I don't think so, my OS version is - 10.0.22621.2216 (xb_flt_2209ni.220926-1945)

    If not, is your Xbox OS up to date? - It says no latest update available

    Just to cover the possibility, can you try using a different HDMI cable? - I just tried this, no difference.

    If you're trying to use 120Hz / if you set 120Hz, please try setting the 1080p resolution at 60Hz to see if that helps
    Or if you can, try using a different resolution to see if the issue persists. - tried this as well, no difference

    Hi, it's more likely an issue with the game (FIFA in general) and not your console.

    Are you able to test the game with a monitor that supports only 60hz?

    In any case, you may need to report this to EA and if you want to Xbox team as well (But as I said, EA are the ones who needs to release a fix)

    Don't forget to be as detailed as possible (include your monitor model, console, etc)

    This is a monitor designed for office work, so that’s why you have these issues. It’s intended audience is word processing, not gaming.

    Display port will not work, even with an adapter cable as it is not bidirectional. It also won’t solve your problem
