We understand it is frustrating since the Xbox One S will not read the Blu-ray discs. Now when you try to watch any Blu-ray discs, does the system display an error or message?

Does the console play Game discs or CDs? Also, please make sure you have the Blu-ray player installed on the console. This is not an app that is pre-installed.

As the only Bluray player in the world that doesn't play BD-R, the XBOX needs a disclaimer on the cardboard box as it is very deceptive without one. I purchased an XBOX ONE S to replace my aging Sony PS3 and this is forcing me to return my XBOX as the even
the PS3 works with BD-R no problems.

Sadly, the feature is still not supported despite the Xbox Feedback post having a lot of supporters for the feature.
