One tries to support the MKV features that are most important to most customers. Not all features of the MKV format will be implemented, and features will be provided in the order in which they provide the most value. I recommend taking a look at a table of
MKV files that contain video and audio tracks encoded with supported codecs for the Xbox One from the following support article, "MKV support on Xbox One", and
compare your codecs with the ones listed on the table.

The xbox it recognizes my hard drive, but always says there are no files inside, always mark 0TB free of 9TB.
If I put the files in an 8 GB or 16 GB USB Pen drive it reads them without problem, but since the 10 TB disk can not read them, my play station and my PC read them without problem including the Wii and WiiU, Regards ..

Si, funciona sin problemas mientras sea USB 3.0 o superior como en tu caso. Ten en cuenta que el disco duro externo debe ser de mínimo 128 GB y que solamente podrás guardar y usar juegos en su versión de Xbox One en dicho disco duro externo. Si deseas guardar y jugar a juegos optimizados para Xbox Series será necesario que consigas la tarjeta de expansión de memoria interna Seagate, ya que solo en esa expansión de memoria se pueden ejecutar los juegos optimizados, por tema de velocidades.

Es que asi me lo está reconociendo, como multimedia, siendo que el disco duro tiene USB 3.0. Lo formatie en pc muchas veces. Con varios formatos, y sigue ocurriendo el mismo problema.
