    Problem with Xbox One x at 1440p/144hz


    Hi, my monitor is AOC AG241QX and has hdmi 2.0, so it work at 1440p / 144hz. if I insert input on automatic, the possibility of setting 120hz disappears. if I put the input on HDMI it returns the possibility of putting 120 hz but if I insert 120 hz at 1440p it makes me go to 1080p. or 1440p at 60hz. I am going crazy.

    Xbox One X won't output 1440p at 120hz

    Everything in my "chain" is compatable. My monitor is 1440p 144hz over Hdmi 2.0. I am using the cable that came with my Xbox One X which is 2.0. The problem seems to be with xbox.

    It sounds like any monitor that uses non standard Vesa frequencies (144hz as opposed to 120hz) will not be able to effectively run at 120hz with 1440p on xbox one x.

    I think it's a known Xbox One X issue with 1440p 144Hz monitors. I found an article that said that if your monitor isn't specifically a 120Hz monitor that it won't be recognized by the Xbox. If this is true, it would be fantastic to get a fix at some point
    from Xbox because a lot of people are opting into 2K 144Hz options.
