    I have an LG OLED 65C9AUA tv. No matter what settings , the Xbox one s cannot see the tv as a 4k. It says 4k not supported. Is the problem with the TV or the Xbox. Xbox one s is brand new, so I have no experience with-it.

    On the Xbox there is nothing listed above the 1400 resolution setting where I believe the 4k setting should be.

    The cable is the one which came with the Xbox. I have tried 2 different HDMI ports, same results.

    Any ideas, suggestions, or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

    I don't think so, Robin. I had an LG OLED 4K TV. And the Xbox One S was connected to to the LG TV and I used to play 4K games. Even if that's the case to play only 4K Blu Rays, it's still not supporting.

    same here : Xbox One S + LG OLED B7 TV

    This is weird because a few days ago colors were OK (not washed out) with bluray 4K HDR.

    I wonder if the problem comes from last LG firmware or Xbox fall update.

    I think this is LG's fault as the update is more recent (they added dolby atmos decoding to the tv and maybe this bug)

    The Xbox One S plays games at 1080p but if played on a 4K screen, it upscales it to 4K,

    The One X is needed for true native 4K,

    I upgraded my Xbox One to the One S at launch to get full use out the 4K media content,

    Then i upgraded my One S to the One X at launch to play games and media at true 4K,

    seeing that you've already tried what i would have suggested, I'm not sure of what else you can try.

    I have an LG B6 OLED, and have no issues with HDR10 coming from a samsung 4k Blu Ray, so would assume you would not have a problem. I was hoping the One S would support Dolby Vision, so I could use Vudu HDR streaming and run Atmos (LG tv's only support 5.1
    surround through built in apps using ARC), but if wishes were horses....
